Gene Hensley
One day, Gene Hensley received a call in his office.
"I've
tried calling every Real Estate professional in town",
the caller said, "and I've been asking them the
same question. Now I am asking you, Mr. Hensley—why
should I pick you to market my home?"
Gene
didn't hesitate, although he had never been asked that
question before. "Because, I'm honest." He
said.
That
simple statement personifies Gene Hensley and his professionalism.

as the wrestling champion of Rapid City.

Gene
Hensley was born and raised in Rapid City. He attended
Rapid City High School, and was named the state wrestling
champion in 1968. After graduating with a teaching degree
from Black Hills State University in 1972, Gene taught
school in Buffalo, SD, starting their wrestling program.
The team now holds the #1 spot on the class B level.
Gene continued on to teach junior high history, and
coached football, wrestling and high school track. In
May of 1977, Gene left teaching to begin his Real Estate
career.
Gene
joined Re/Max in 1981 and bought the franchise in 1989.
All in all, Gene has 31 years of experience as a Real
Estate professional in the Rapid City area.
